About The Trainer

Background & Early Experience

I'm a retired project manager, mother, wife, experienced dog (and cat, and rabbit, and bird, and tortoise, and hamster) owner. I currently have just one dog Missy-Moo (I've been banned by hubby for getting more) but during my late teens, I was chief trainer to 14 dogs (yes, 14)!

She sure gives me the preacher look when she isn't impressed with my behaviour. She has me well trained, and to be fair, with her staffy smile, she can bend even the hardest heart to her belly rubbing ways!

Professional Journey & Qualifications

Professionally, I was originally a project manager for a global bank of 30+ years service, specialising in system implementation of back office systems and delivering system training to 20k+ users at a time.

In 2019 I started planning for retirement and doing what I absolutely love - working with dogs! I certified as a dog trainer with the Dog Training College and set up my dog training business. Since then, I have become a Canine Body Language Instructor, Pet First Aid Instructor, and continue my professional development by studying to be a canine behaviourist.

I'm founder of the Canine Aromatherapy Alliance, building training content for both pet owners and pet professionals and other natural products to benefit the lives of dogs.
